My Journey with Photography
What started as a hobby my Senior year of college quickly became my biggest passion.
I picked up my first camera while working a creative internship at an ad agency in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Luckily, my roommate at the time was a photographer for the local college, along with at the Myrtle Beach Safari made [in]famous by Tiger King.
I got to follow along with him, assisting on shoots, which quickly made me realize the potential photography had to not only be an outet for my creativity, but a potential business pursuit.
Fast forward just a year later, I found myself taking my first full-time job out of school in Fort Collins, Colorado. I had never even visited the West prior to this, so needless to say, I immediately fell in love with the mountains and the possibilities they presented for growing as both a photographer and a person.
I’ve spent the past decade now learning the ins and outs of what it takes to be a professional photographer, all while honing in on my style and unique way at crafting images that tell a story and evoke emotion from those who resonate with them.
While growing my photography business and trying every niche in the industry, I have also been working full-time as a digital marketer, helping startups, small businesses, and eventually Fortune 500 companies in their digital marketing efforts.
This combination of skillsets that I’ve gained is what I believe sets me apart as a commercial photographer, aligning unique creativity with in-depth knowledge of the business world in order to create what drives the best results for my clients.
